Skynet submitted a new resource:

Better Bends - Yummy Arched back

-- What this Plugin Does:
- Progressively applies bend deformation correction morphs to the hip area & genital area, depending on how arched the back is.
- Designed to work also with Contortionist plugin with hip X angle unlocked for a realistic arched back.
- Custom morphs sculpted by hand with blender for accuracy. (feedback is welcome for improvements)

-- Additional Explanation:
- Disable Base Bend fix toggle: continuously disables native bend fix to avoid...

Although it's perfect, you overlooked the deformation of the lower abdomen. Once you use your plugin, the lower abdomen will become very strange

This plugin is still a work in progress & for now it only corrects the genitals & hip areas and doesn't correct the abdomen yet, the other joint correctives will be added with future updates

Also, send me snapshots of the lower abdomen looking "strange" so i can understand how to correct that shape deformation in future updates

I also want to know the answer to this question.
No i don't think it's a great idea to use them both at the same time, you should use only one of them at a time.

Yes i already know that, i wanted to make my own adaptation of JCMs with my own custom made logic & accurate morphs. jointcorrect is good but it makes things look worse more often than not.

I personally think that JC's worst points are where the thigh joins the hip on the outside when bent @ 90degrees, it puts a REALLY weird kink in there.
Theres an indentation AND a ripple just below
It doesn't really correct for glutes when bent but i don't think it makes them any worse either.
I think JC is ESSENTIAL for arms/legs especially the insides of joints.
It doesn't know how to handle extreme contortions, which would be nice if it actually REVERSED the effect once you go past a certain angle on the legs for example.
I do like the fact that JC has sliders for each part of the body so that you can tweak and adjust.

Skynet, if your plugin is a WIP but you don't recommend using it with JC, what if you added the JC code to fill in the parts that you haven't done yet and keep the sliders for each portion of the body.
Then as you begin adding more, you can phase in your body morphs in place of JC's one section at a time.
It's a bit of a difficult ask to have people 100% commit to your plugin and ditch something that's been working for 80-90% of the use cases they have.

Would it be possible to work with Extreme contortions like these?

No i can't directly take from it code because it is licensed NC and i'm planning to use my plugin in paid content, this is why i had to make my own adaptation in the first place. same goes for morphs that i have to make everything from scratch which will take a lot of time as making JCMs morphs is not as straight forward as making head / body morphs.

And no i'm not asking to ditch jointcorrect if it works for you? i only told the reason why i'm making this one. you're free to use any plugin on the hub that works best for you obviously

Skynet updated Better Bends with a new update entry:

version 2

- Added new morphs that are controlled by various body parts, remastered the original hip & genital morphs. now a total of 20 morphs driven by the plugin.
- Added morph strength sliders for each new area.
- Added "Morph Clean-Up Mode" toggle to easily clean up poses from plugin morphs, instead of having to dial in each one to 0 if the need arises.
- Set all morphs to pose morphs to exclude them from appearance presets.

(check the main plugin hub page video for a complete demo of all...

Really cool plugin!

This is somewhat simulating the joint correction stuff in VAM2 yeah? I can't recall the name but it's... Quaternion system something? I spoke to a porting artist months ago who told me that basically Joint Correct, or similar plugins right now for VAM1 is something that VAM2 will do sort of automatically. But anyway I'm glad we see things like this for VAM1, because God knows VAM1's joints and bends really hate certain angles (and Morphs that ever so slightly go 'beyond' the frame of basic G2F).

Dunno if intentional, but these are still not marked as pose morphs:

Skynet - BB Hip - Complete.vmi
Skynet - BB Hip - Genital.vmi
Skynet - BB Perineum - Genital.vmi

Thanks for the heads up, right before packaging i ended up replacing those morphs & forgot to set them up again, also a typo in the ''Perineum'' morph slider. will update shortly

Quaternion is a mesh skinning thing which is a bit different but serves the same purpose, my plugin is more like JCMs. it applies pre-made morphs to correct/ smooth areas on pre-defined joint rotation coordinates. VaM 2 already has both the two integrated i believe & they look fantastic, can wait to get my hands on the Addon Kit to make my own custom JCMs

I think the separation of the two buttocks is too extreme. It looks a bit strange for the character with a huge bottom.

It looks as if it has been stretched open by some transparent object, which is unnatural.

However, this variation works quite well from the side view. I would like to retain the effect from the side but eliminate the effect of the front opening up.
