VaM 1.x Any ideas on how to make a character "armless"?

So I got this model that's a robot and apparently has this clothes that imply her limbs are removable. I tried to use the character transparency plugin on her but it just made the invisible part of her arms overlap on herself and the male model, showing the background beneath, not really looking like she has no arms. Any ideas?

Do you have a screenshot or could you mention more details? It is not so easy to understand the problem (at least for me), for example, what male model?

There is more than one plugin for transparency, perhaps the other ones with alpha masks will help, where you can exactly paint what you want to hide:
