Currently the headset gets moved to fit into the characters head. This also "moves" everything else in the scene, eg. floors, walls, furniture and so on.

This is really bad if you rebuilt your real room in VR and want to posssess because then the floor height and location of everything else is "out of sync".

Could we get an alternative "possess and align" mode before VaM 2.x, one that keeps everything where it is but moves the characters head to the headset instead? Maybe activate the new behavior if "Disable All Navigation" is enabled and keep the old behavior if that setting is disabled.

Thank you!

Oooh nice. I thought it does possess but doesn't align so you could end up with misaligned. Someone should install a Wiki so we could write a documentation ;)

Thank you!

We have wiki installed and are working on it in background. It is not yet ready for public so you can't see it yet.

Summary of possess:

Regular possess - move controller or headset close to control, and control will snap into predetermined position. Lock in using select.
2-stage possess - move controller or headset close to control, and control will link, but not snap. Lock in using select. Allows for more freedom where your possess point is which can be useful for when you arm/leg length doesn't match the underlying character.
Align and possess - same as regular possess except it aligns the player rig to the selected control 1st before snap. Can then align other controls to possess hand. Lock in using select.
