Question 7900XT VR Performance Experiences?

I don't have a headset yet but will be getting one soon so I can't do any testing, is anyone running a 7900XT or XTX? Is performance as bad as it is talked about? VAM runs great in desktop mode but I am worried it won't be a good experience in VR. I can do a return of the 7900XT which is why I'm wondering if it will run decently or not.
