I love it - as a concept! Silly question however, how do I install it? am I supposed to place it anywhere specifically? Whenever i run it, it simply stops at a black prompt window.

You can install it anywhere basically. You should have the windows app and a "data" directory. Just double click on the VAM.exe and run it. That should open the app. If that doens't work, could you maybe try running a CMD window and start the app from there?

Really cool app. I made some nice looks already. I was interested in the code so I ran it from source and it worked fine. I made a small PR on github.

I love the idea!

is it correct to say that it won't work well for characters that had their morphs merged?

Improvement idea - option to save data, so you can optionally continue improving generations at a later session.

You are correct that it won’t work well on merged morphs. The feature you request is already there! :) You can quit generating anytime you want and restart the app and VAM to continue where you left off.

Thanks for your kind words! I have some really cool ideas for the future, but I don’t want to put too much pressure on myself. This last update was already a lot of work. At some point I will do another release hopefully :). I’m glad you enjoy the app!

This seems really cool and a way to try a bunch of looks you might not think of. Messed with it a bit and the results are pretty good!

I only have one comment/observation though. After rating the first generation, am I supposed to relaunch the executable file?
I don't think I should, as it generates a new generation 'map' but I don't see any other way of getting back to the generate appearances button after the rating screen.

Would appreciate some clarity on that particular step!

Awesome that you like the app! After rating them all, press the green button below with “Generate Population”. This will reset the ratings, but now you can click in Vam again at the 20 available numbers! As you will see these will be new generated looks. Let me know if this worked out for you! (The video at the top of the post might also be helpful).
