Escrow Feature
If you are in the US, it may be wise to switch to the "Escrow" payout mode vs the "Direct" option in your profile settings. You have to report every single crypto transaction to the IRS when you declare your income. If you use Escrow, you can then just pay yourself out in less frequent intervals, similar to how Patreon does it. This in turn is less work overall.


Split pay-to-view content earnings between multiple contributors
On Housefly, you can split the earnings from a pay-to-view content payment between up to 5 wallets. This way you can run JVs and collaborate with other creators to develop assets without worrying about payments. It's all decentralized, and any time a user pays to unlock a "pay-to-view" asset every creator instantly gets his share of the pie directly in their digital wallet.


Multiple Payment Currencies
At present, you can chose between Polygon MATIC and USDT Tether to receive payouts. We will be adding more ERC20 tokens in the future. If you have some immediate request of suggestion please give us a shout.

1. When creating gated content (Subscription based or pay-to-view) activate "Show preview" to display the featured image and 155 characters text preview. This will improve your conversion rate.
   
   IMPORTANT NOTES:
   
   If you are adding a download link make sure it is not included in the first 155 characters when preview is ON.
   
   If you don't chose a featured image a default gray color placeholder will be displayed in your post, so make sure you always chose a featured image.​
2. You can embed videos from 3rd party services such as YouTube & Video but also use animated GIFs to make your content more appealing.​
   • We have an upload limit of 5mb per image​
   • You can add unlimited size animated GIFs via a URL.​
3. Always add TAGS to your posts so users can search and find your content on Housefly.
   
   
4. When you publish NSFW content, make sure you flag it and activate the "NSFW content" toggle ON, so it is blurred for users that have this visibility setting.
   
   
5. Add your Housefly profile link to your Twitter, Instagram or YouTube profiles as an alternative to Patreon so users know they can support you and pay for your assets in crypto.

IMPORTANT: Soon you will be able to add "Pay in crypto" button in here as well. We are working with @meshedvr to enable this feature so you can link all assets with Housefly as well.
