Nexus is a clothing set for female VaM characters featuring adjustable limb cuts, mechanical inserts, and energy effects.
Choose an individual arm or leg, or use All Limbs for all four limbs. Cut positions, materials, and glow can be adjusted directly through the clothing interface.

The ZIP archive is intended for creators and developers. It contains the source code and documentation explaining how the system works and how it can be modified or extended. To use the plugin in-game, install only the VAR file.

If you’d like more outfits, feel free to use my resource as a base to create your own.
I’ve included the source files in the Ресурсы.zip archive, along with full documentation explaining how everything was made. You can follow the guide to create any clothing you like.

Each cut features a mechanical insert with a central lens and metal vanes. A rim using the character’s skin material surrounds the opening. The mechanism, skin rim, and energy jet follow the body’s movement.

All required scripts and resources are included in the VAR. No additional plugins are needed to use Nexus.

Features

  • Five clothing items: Nexus All Limbs, Left Arm, Right Arm, Left Leg, and Right Leg. Individual items let you choose your own combination of limbs.
  • Adjustable cut positions. Move the boundary from the wrists and ankles toward the limb roots. At higher leg cut settings, the outer edges rise further.
  • Surface-bound cuts. Each boundary follows its corresponding limb as it moves. The surrounding skin retains its original shape.
  • Skin rim. The profile combines a flat ledge with a rounded inward transition. The rim can bend with the body’s surface during movement.
  • Mechanical insert. The central section retains its rigid shape, while the surrounding elements adapt to the cut contour.
  • Volumetric energy jets. Adjust length, length variation, density, flow speed, and transparency.
  • Synchronized animation. At matching flow speeds, the energy jets lengthen and shorten together, including when individual clothing items are equipped separately.
  • Adjustable lighting. Glow brightness, directional light intensity, and the bloom halo can be adjusted independently. Energy color is controlled through the cyan → Diffuse Color material setting.
The cuts change limb visibility. The character’s native bones, controllers, and colliders remain in place.

Source Code and Documentation

The separate Source package is intended for creators and developers. It contains the source code, clothing geometry, shaders, resources, and documentation covering cut generation, mechanism attachment, the skin rim, particles, volumetric energy, glow, and lighting.

The documentation explains how these elements work, how they interact, and how they can be modified or used when developing your own solutions. Only the VAR file is needed to use the clothing in VaM.
