[Experimental] Hair Grab Sphere

Plugins [Experimental] Hair Grab Sphere

This is an early beta and there's a lot of tinkering still left to do, but I figured I might as well release what I have for people to play with.

Usage
  1. Add to a Person atom.
  2. A sphere should spawn behind the head. Position it as needed.
    1. It is invisible by default.
  3. Press Grab
  4. Move the sphere around

Notes
  • For reasons I can't recall anymore, I decided to calculate the physics per-hair rather than just add a 'chain' of rigidbodies. The hair is stretchy so it acts like a spring, and is prone to oscillation. Use the drag settings if you have issues.
    • I'll probably re-do this in an upcoming revision.
  • It uses custom shaders so the perf hit shouldn't be too bad.
  • Works best with loose hairs, but I tried to make it work reasonably with rigid hairs as well.

I have a "Pigtail Handlebars" scene that has been in need of just such a plugin to bring it to the next level. This works great, including doubling up on the plugin to have a grab sphere for each pigtail.
