Now that looks to me i lack permissions to write to the folder structure. Try as i might i cannot change any folder from READ ONLY. I'm admin, i have ownership and ive unchecked that box more times than i can count

Dunno if this helps but i cant save any of my preferences either like changing the hand colour in vr or quality settings

Any ideas?

That's not because you have ownership or your are admin that you can write in some folders without launching the app AS admin (yes, Windows got that stupid).
I don't know why you're on D and in some Nvidia's folder, but I think that you probably need to try another location first, and eventually start VAM as admin by default.

I'm on W11 and I've never had to launch Vam as admin. Perhaps using the D:\NVIDIA folder is a bad idea. Perhaps something is protecting the Nvidia folder from being mucked with. Try relocating Vam to D:\Vam. I use C:\Games\Vam.

Obvious question: Is the disk full? Close to full?

Or "D:\NotAPornGame" if you want to secure the folder and what "Nvidia" was.

:p

as you guessed its not meant to be found thats why its in an Nvidia folder :ROFLMAO:
The file structure is exactly the same as it was on another drive. i decided to grab the essentials from saves, morphs and addons and drop them into a fresh install of VaM since it was getting stupid bloated. its on a 4tb ssd which isnt even 25% full. Just wanna say this is a new issue. never had this problem before i moved everything over

I've tried lauching as admin with no luck. still getting the same error. Took ownership of the ssd and all rights associated with no luck. Had a hunch that maybe its because i favourited appearances and scenes but nope thats a dead end too. Feel like banging my head against a wall here
