Is it possible to make a short story / movie with speech bubbles above characters? And do you make multiple clips and have to have movie editing software? Thanks.

VaM has speech/thought bubbles, but they're very limited. You have no control over where they appear. So if your plan is to make a movie or comic, you might want to consider adding them later with some other software.
