Kimowal submitted a new resource:

Animatis - Simplified Timeline plugin with inspiration from Acidbubbles Timeline plugin

A simplified timeline plugin for Virt-A-Mate inspired by the Timeline by Acid Bubbles.

this is my first posted plugin ,so please do not be gentle and give me feedback wether good or bad.
The plugin is made with Ai. and not intended to be other than ,what i think, is an easier/simpler way of making animations relative fast.
From my testing i found nothing that did not work except the "record" button, but more about that further down.

A BIG Thank You to Acid Bubbles for the inspiration...

Hey Sunhawken :) , as of now thats a future i havent tried yet but are considering. i thought of making it possible to import/export to/from acid timeline however acid timeline is way more complex, and animatis is just ment for simple animation as of now. this would mean one would have to take into considuration that, if importing, there might be futures that wont be exported due too animatis limitations as of now. however importing from animatis to acid timeline should be made an option i think, but if i do that i will ask Acid Bubbles first for permission. great thinking! :)

I'm used to making animations with the Timeline plugin. Can I achieve the same level of control (or even more) using this plugin?

As far as ive tried it its able to give you same contoll to some lvl yes, the animations i tested/made seemed to work flawlessly and looks natural.and i made them quite fast id say, although i do also have experience with timeline so that helps ofcourse( from sitting pose to standing with direction change). But its deff not as well done as timeline nore is it intended too, think of this more like a starter kit for learning to make simple animations. Ive also created a posesaver( not released yet) that goes very well with Animatis. Im looking into advancing the plugin but yet it still need to be simple so im not sure when i will update next time, for the moment.

I've not used timeline so unfamiliar with how it works and this seems simpler, easier to use - do you have a quick video demo on how to use it? Thanks @Kimowal

Hey, im sorry but i do not at the moment. im a bit occupied today so i cant create it for you at this time. however once your in the UI go to the "Targets" tab, select which controller you want to animate the select "add Controller". After that go to "timeline" tab, here is where you animate. first "clear all keyframes" then "Add keyframe at current Time" , then move the part you chose to animate(i suggest using lHand controller for testing this out), then set "current time" to something like 0.50 or 1.0(depending how fast you want the animation to play), then move the chosen part and press "add keyframe at current time". now go to animation Tab and remove the loop for now. back in Timeline tab hit play and you should se the chosen part move. and thats it! (The Record button is still in early fase so i suggest leave it alone for now). hope this helps you to start with :)

Update 1.2

Animatis v1.2 - Global Targets Update

Major Improvements:

✅ Global Animation Targets - Controllers and morphs are now shared across ALL animations! Add them once, and they're available everywhere.

✅ Copy/Paste Between Animations - Keyframes can now be copied from one animation and pasted into another (as long as the targets match). Perfect for reusing poses across different animations.

✅ Better Morph Handling - Improved error messages when morphs can't be loaded. The plugin now...

Cool plugin, so fasr its way more intuitive. Im having slight trouble with recording...

When I go to record after adding a head controller. I start moving the head by holding down left click. the moment i release left click the head snaps over to my right/her left everytime. There's no output or traceback telling me there is an error. So im assuming im missing something. Any ideas?

Yes the recording button is not yet fixed, im looking into it if i should keep it or not since the keyframe buttons can be used as well (actually i would recomend that anyway couse its then easier to add details in your animation between the different timelines), however i do have an idea for it and will adress it in my not-so-far-away update. Thank you so much for taking the time🙂👍

o ok no problem. I had an idea, it may be beyond what you want to do with the plugin but... In other animation editors we can move key frames in 2d or 3d space.

so looking at the screenshot we see the path of the foot animation. What if we could grab these nodes/points on the animation in 3d space, move them, remove, and or edit them. This could be a very powerful feature.

Another idea I had was the ability to export acidbubbles timeline to a format that a more feature rich and developed system could work with would be game changing.

(I understand if acidbubbles reads that last sentence it could cause a bit of anger. I apologize and dont mean to diminish your work. You have been a vital part of VaM for a very long time and you should be rewarded with lots of money and fine women, anything less would be insulting, not even joking or exaggerating here... But, competing with something like davinci resolve where theres a large team of people that have millions of dollars poured into development isn't really a fair fight.)

This would also allow for potential scripting of the animations without fighting dealing with a 3d world. Especially with AI technology today. We could in theory just give it an example animation and then tell it to use it as a reference to build the rest.

I understand thats all a lot of work. I dont expect it from anyone but i figure getting the ideas out there might influence someone to tackle it.

I see your point and those are great ideas, i will deff take a look at it. But im not trying to recreate or challange Acid Bubbles in any way. There is a reason for the simplicity couse Animatis will( if im able too) be a small part of larger future plugin im trying to build. Although i do think it would be possible to keep it fairly simple but with the futures you refference. Il deff try it at least. Thank you so much for the ideas! If you have any other ideas theyre welcomed 🙂

guys i know the save/load function dont work. ive fixed it but are struggling with having the morphs and controllers reload along with the timeline animation. the animation will play fine once loaded but the controllers and morphs must be added manually. once i `ve fully fixed this issue i will release a new updated version. If you find any other bugs or have any suggestions im more than happy to hear from you.

Kimowal updated Animatis with a new update entry:

Update 1.3

UpdateFix for Saving/loading - These now works however i`ve not figured out how to restore the pose with the morphs and controllers showing.
However im on it and i will find out the correct method.

Also ive removed the "RecordTrigger" as it was faulty and really there is no need for it.
I might change this later.

Please if you find any bugs or have any suggestions feel free to message me. HAPPY ANIMATION!

i feel animatis works fine for now, however im aware of the Ui is a bit "chunky" when adding the morphs and controllers, im working on that next along with having the "on enter", and "on exit" triggers work with each animation seperatly, also i want to add posibility to set time for when, for example, one triggers clothes "undress" on the timeline, this has prob already been figured out i just need to learn how to. But im on it! :)

Not to mean to say that you should drop this and not work on it, but what exactly is the point of this over timeline? I feel like timeline is already braindead easy to learn and use.

I get what you say and if you use timeline and know it well than there is no reason for you, in fact id say that it was never ment so either. However i think that new player etc can sometimes find great plugins like timeline overwhelming to start with, here is a " starter" for easily start out with animation and see the fun in it. But animatis is for me just a part of a bigger pluggin im aiming at, how that will go i dunno yet, but there will deff be more plugins. And if u dont like animatis its fine🙂 no plugin is ment for everyone.
