hi MrGiggly,
I have some problem with converted normal texture it seems that the connection between the torso to the limbs wasn't done properly
can you please help me fix that?!
I'm having this same issue - there's gaps on the right shoulder and around the head for every converted texture so far. Using photoshop to do a content-aware fill is a janky way of hiding the black spots, but the resultant seems I cant really fix without going over the hand texture.

What version of genesis are you converting from?
Is your source skin definitely a 'base' version for that genesis model?
Have you checked that you're applying your converted textures to a skin in VAM that uses base UV (ie not a variant such as Olympia, etc)?

WOW, that was literally the answer. Worst part is, I tried the blank UV initially (the white one) and that didn't apply UV's at all. I went to all that effort messing up the UVs in photoshop when the base UV spat out by your method worked perfectly when the UV was set to base UV.
Thanks, headache solved. Great guide btw.

tell me why there is no conversion for male genitalia in the template? women are at least generated but not men(
Because there's too little demand from people for me to invest my time for free to set this stuff up.

hi MrGiggly, i was wondering if you can tell me how can i convert decal textures too?
when i try to do it, it comes out with no transparency.

If you check out Post #36 on page 2 it's explained there

Before I dive deep into this guide, I'm curious if this can help me with creating a texture for the Alternative futa using a G2F (torso/gens) texture.

atm, No

I have a blender texture conversion set up for this, but I haven't released it with the rest of the conversion templates I've shared as it's a bit more involved to use.

It will convert a female texture to male gens for the groin section which is the part that's impossible to match without using something like Substance Painter, but there's still quite a bit of post work needs doing in Photoshop or Gimp for the penis section and some knowledge of how to colour match and blend two textures together using either of these apps.

Maybe the Face Blend plugin could really help with that? It works on the "groin" area, but would need to attach to the graft rather than the figure, I think. Or, maybe even the AltFuta plugin itself could be given a blending feature.

Face Blend is good but it still needs post work to properly match a texture up.
Stopper is mia so highly unlikely the alt-futa plugin will see any further updates unless someone else picks it up.

I've added a new template now for Alt-Futa.

You'll find it over here as this thread is for the old versions of the template for Blender 2.79 before I got them up and running on Blender 3.2+

I have kind of found an easier solution with faceblend. I can just use the AltFuta textures that already exist, then use faceblend to attach the face textures to the alt futa skin. It's not perfect as it doesn't account for certain art styles like the Arcane characters, but it works for most realistic & video game characters like OW or FN that use fairly flat textures.

I shared my faceblend mask on the discussion for FaceBlend which is more gradual and looks better than the included one.
