Solved How to prevent the animation Pattern from automatically resetting to time=0 when saving the scene?

I found that whenever the built-in screenshot is started the time of the animation function will automatically zero, because some animations are more intuitive and convenient to use the animation Pattern

Is there any way to avoid the timeline automatically zero?

(The timeline of the animation mode is automatically zeroed out during screenshot)

I'm using the animationPattern tool to make the lights rotate and then using the slider to control the timing. However, every time I try to save the scene, the timeline of the animation automatically goes to zero

Here's a simplified case, with animationPattern-controlled sphere movement, time=0 on top, and the sphere automatically moving to time0 whenever I save the scene

Saving the scene having the animation patterns stuck at a time-position other than zero is likely not possible and what you're seeing may be the expected behaviour for animation patterns. It does make sense that the process of saving a scene resets all animation patterns within it, and your videos seem to prove the case. Essentially, not a bug but a feature ;)
It is expected a scene to start at a 0s time, even Timeline would also not be saved at a period other than 0s of a animation.

As far as I know, if you want atoms and animation patterns to be at a certain position on scene load then you need to have that position as the animation starting time (0s)
I can't see the attachment or understand what you mean in your question.
Sorry, I tried to insert the video in the post but it failed due to network problem....

I re-uploaded the video to Google Drive at the address updated at the end of the post above, Thanks!

Are yoy using a animation pattern or Timeline? The wording is unclear so I take it as the first. Might just be how it is regarding saving a scene with animation patterns.
You can also try Supershot by MacGrubber which will give you a lot more options for screenshots.

Sorry for my English

Animation pattern it is

I am using Supershot for screenshot indeed, but for this question is about saving the scene
Please check this video for clear demonstration: Screen recording video2

Thanks!

Indeed! I don't think it's a bug either, it's just a feature of the Animation pattern.

I was actually hoping that the slider would normally stop right in the middle, so that I could easily and intuitively drag it left or right to rotate it left or right, but that doesn't seem to be possible...o_O

all animation patterns will reset to 0 upon scene save/load. No way to prevent that.
You can set up different animation patternt that will autoplay upon scene load and use triggers on it to adjust your primary animation pattern to desired position upon scene load.
