Hi Guest!
Please be aware that we have released another critical security patch for VaM. We strongly recommend updating to version 1.22.0.12 using the VaM_Updater found in your installation folder.
Details about the security patch can be found here.
Hi, im changing my pc parts and i was wonder what would be better in case of VAM and further with VAM2? Vam is one threaded so what will be better ? 6.0Ghz of 13900kS or 5.7 but with big cache of AMD ?
May i ask if your message is based on experience with those 2 CPUS and VAM? Or knowing strong and weak sites of VAM technology its theoretical opinion? couse as i saw comparisons in certain games there are big diffrence in FPS for Intel in some and amd for another (diff like 40FPS). So i ask for this hmmm "game" or rather entertainment environment, not overall.
side note: On 7950X3D only CCD without extra v-cache can hit that 5.7 boost,
other one with extra cache is clocked lower (at ~5.25 reported by AnandTech and TechPowerUp).
Also it would be interesting to see how scheduler and VaM are handling that part.
So far we don't know... nobody posted any benchmarks. ?
We more or less know how 5800X3D permormed in VaM (compared to 11/12th gen).
Personally I am more interested in 7800X3D (to avoid CCD switching), sadly it's postponed to april.
Maybe I missed some results (not everyone adds specs info, so search doesn't work).
We have like 4-5 different 5800X3D results out there and one of them is with Quadro RTX 6000.
Others are with 4090 and RX 6800 XT (If you can find 4090/6800 XT counter parts, maybe you can use them).
