VaM 1.x What is var.depend.txt?

I'm new to VAM and I have a question that might seem naive. I've noticed that every time I download scenery or characters, a text file named var.depend.txt is always present. Should I download it and place it in the AddonPackages folder? Is it important, or does it simply contain dependency information?

It's just info, and AORN it's discouraged from attaching it to var uploads because it serves no purpose, it's an obsolete element from the past before the auto credit system. You don't need it whatsoever.

It's a legacy/old file..., you can delete it
