Video Recording - My experience of recording music directed videos.

Greetings, Creators!
English is not my native language, so please excuse any inaccuracies.
This is a guide for those who want to record video from VaM. Please note there is a plugin that allows you to record video directly from VaM, but it does so by saving a sequence of individual frames that you then need to merge into a video...

Hey all, VaM beginner here. Trying to get this plugin to render CyberDreams scene below as a stereoscopic 180 VR video (with the perspective set to the one male model in the scene):

The scene has a built in UI that allows me to select the models to be used, and the perspective when played (either VR first person or third person). The built in UI makes it difficult to figure out how to position the render camera atom before the scene starts since, at the beginning of the scene only the scene UI is visible. If I select the models I want to use, then VR first person, and then the bulit in scene UI's "initialize" button, the scene starts the way I want - but if I then switch to edit mode (in an attempt to position the render camera) the original scene specific UI shows back up immediately and everything gets reset.

I considered maybe seeing if I could modify the scene defaults so that the models I want (and VR first person view) are already selected by default - and maybe that would get me closer to my desired final outcome, but my guess is I'm just doing something wrong.

Any ideas / tips? Thanks!

Hi, if I understand you correctly, you want to re-position the camera before recording with it. There are two things I am sure: 1) this guide and related plugin certainly will not help you 2) you better ask it the main questions topic rather then in this thread where very few people can even see you question. About your problem: most scenes now are controlled through the Timeline plugin attached to (most probably) a person atom. A camera atom either. So if you re-position it before press "play" button it will be reset to its hard-coded position anyway. In other words VaM is just a 3D-movie played where user control of the scene atom is not so simple. Considering appearing UI: the common reason when it appears unexpectedly is when you get an error/warning is the log window or some events in the Timeline.
