Can't replicate Updating some VAR files from one version to the next hangs VaM

I found this during some after 1.20.1.5 release testing. Updating Kemenate morphs pack from 9 to 10 seems to trigger an access violation.
 
Strangely I was not able to repeat this. I think I maybe had the var file open in 7zip or something similar.
