Is there a simple way? So far, the only thing that works for me is loading a "magic scene", which I discovered by pure luck (and I'm still skeptical about it but screenshots would suggest that it works).
I need to switch MSAA off for the Display Depth shader to work. Then I can get RTGI to work. If I toggle MSAA back, RTGI breaks... But if I load a special scene (I'm not sure what is special about it) they work together (RTGI definitely works and the hair doesn't look like crap). After I load that scene, RTGI stays enabled and works with MSAA even when I load other scenes. Some scenes that have custom skies break it back.
All I could find about this is a 9 month old reddit post, which actually is a repost of something older, so I'm not sure where to look for current information.
This is the "magic scene" btw:
RTGI MSAA
RTGI no MSAA
MSAA no RTGI
edit: Never mind, got the answer on reddit
