It's a weird question when I try to make the title as small as possible, so here's what I mean.

Lets say a user who created resources wants to leave the Hub and have all personal information removed, but at the same time would like to "donate" the resources for the community.
The only need would be to remove any reference to the creator, license set to FC, and a repackaging to "creator X".

Would the Hub team be willing to create this "creator X" user to be the recipient of the works? Naturally, "creator X" would just be storing the resources, not have to mantain, update, just be the recipient of donated resources.

I didn't know Maru01 had left, that's a shame. The profile exists and the latest is from March, so maybe the creator is still around?

Anyway, my question is for a more final situation, where the creator does not want his/her profile to exist in any way, but would like to transfer the resources and have them visible somewhere. That's where "creator X" would come into play, a collector of donated resources for these cases or something.

I agree about the orphan content. I think maru01 is still around. A lot of their stuff was on their store for free, but got uploaded to the hub. I might be wrong about who had all that old content that got re-upped.

Yeah so two different issues here. One is the issue of off-site content -- we are handling that slowly but surely and no content will be deleted unless we find stuff that has stolen content, etc.

The issue @atani is talking about is one where the user requested a deletion.

Every time we receive a deletion request from a popular creator, or one that has resources, we make the request:

Could we please keep this content available to the community, but remove your name and details from the content?

The answer almost always is "No, I want the content removed entirely for my own reasons".
Rest assured that if we get a "yes", we would set up an account not tied to that person and make the content available.
The fact that you haven't seen that before tells you how often that happens, unfortunately.

Data-delete requests have federal protections under US law. We have quite a bit of time to delete the info, but there's no "keeping it around without their name" without their permission.

It is a shame when people request their content to be removed even with a chance to make it anonymous. They lose nothing from giving it away, but we all lose :(
I had no idea about the process and that the question is asked, quite sad that people say no.

Thanks for claryfing that this possibility is already in place.
I believe this thread can be closed, no point in having more replies.
