Separate a user's "Ignore" for resources and other user interactions

I am "ignoring" some users as I don't want to see their resources on the homepage, but unfortunately this also prevents me from seeing all other user interactions, like forum posts, reviews, etc.
I have no idea on the feasibility to expand the "ignore" option to be for different things, or if limiting it to resources is the only practical way.
