Solved Question about rigging and finger posing

I'm 100% new to the community, so be gentle. Every tutorial I've seen so far is showing hands in default splayed state, so I'm curious if its possible to do rigging for each individual finger on an avatars hands? Can anyone point me to a reference that would give some instruction? I've got some basic functionality down within the program and am working on learning the basics of posing, but it looks so uncanny with the hands always in their default state.

Yeah fingers are currently posed / animated using morphs (morphs can control both skin transforms and bones). Internally there _are_ bones however (e.g. for the valve index) but there's no way (as far as I know) to control them using the VaM UI.
