Plugin Idea: Alpha Adjust for Hair?

Exactly as it says on the tin title. I love playing around with transparency and render queues, and can do that for just about everything(including CUAs, when I use plugins), but I have yet to find a plugin that allowed me to make hair transparent.

I poked around and I don't think so. The shader doesn't support it.

If someone knows how to create a shader that does support it and somehow use that shader for hair, then I supposed it would be possible. But that's supposing a lot
