Overblown nipples? Please help!

So I've got an issue with several models that load incorrectly but used to work fine. Their nipples now have a strange squareish, overblown look:

For simplicity let's just focus on just two of them. I'll call them Model A and Model B:

Model A is a VAR
Model B is manually installed into $VAR_HOME/Custom/atom/...

So far I've tried:

Moved everything from $VAR_HOME/AddonPackages - No help for Model B, can't test Model A because it was moved.
Moved everything from Custom - No help for Model A, can't test Model B because it was moved.
Moved everything from Custom AND $VAR_HOME/AddonPackages, except for Model A - Still no help! Ugly Nipples!!!! Ugh!

It seems like the defaults/strength of a certain morph have changed and now anything using that/those particular morphs load with settings that are whacked.

Any ideas on how to further troubleshoot this? Thanks for any help you can offer!

D'oh! I figured it out from the following thread: https://hub.virtamate.com/threads/elven-lilly.8206/#post-21145

TLDR: Smooth Passes in User Preferences fixes it. Probably should be upped to at least 3, but 4 looks the best. Interesting that I don't remember changing that setting though... <shrug>
