I'm wondering how this site should deal with var v.s. vac v.s. zip files.

For example, https://hub.virtamate.com/dev/index.php?resources/cut-jean-shorts.157/ is a great resource but it's not available as a var file. Should this be visible somewhere? Does this matter?

Personally I avoid downloading any non-var stuff because there's _no way_ I can track who made what and what I can publish. Also non-var assets usually bundle other people's stuff (e.g. scenes) which lose referencing on this site.

While I don't think we can _force_ var files just yet, it may be interesting to flag non-var content and encourage at upload time (e.g. in the label) to prefer var files (e.g. it may impact ranking later or something that would make people do the extra mile of doing var packages)

I think once var scanning is implemented and the meta info is displayed, it will be obvious. I think a special highlight identifying VAR resources will also be added to help distinguish and also try to encourage direct upload of vars to the site as opposed to external sites and other formats.

It could eventually be interesting to even add a warning for external downloads, but that's probably the security freak talking.

I just noticed that it is not possible to upload .assetbundles. We might want to allow that.
