Howdy all, so whenever I load scenes, not all but most, the UI will just simply not be visible and I'll have to press M to toggle it back into reality. For some scenes this works just fine, but for a lot it'll then just turn the scene completely black and I cannot see anything. This is especially a pain when attempting to change a model, because then it just turns the whole scene black and I cannot do anything more in the scene until I reload it, but then same problem even after reloading if I press M it'll turn everything black. I've tried updating any newer scenes, but I'm even having this issue with scenes that are old that I know for a fact used to work just fine.

What you describe is normal behaviour: if you press M you will switch to the WindowCamera and get a black screen if you didn't turn that on. Showing/toggling the VaM ui is the key U (and T for showing scene objects, nodes etc.).

Additionally to the internal vam standard ui creators can create any custom ui as they see fit. Potential problems with these should be caused by the specific scene itself.

But I still see parts of the scene, like in one I can still see a flickering light but the majority is just black. Also I'd post if it was a specific scene but its a LOT of scenes, about 50/50

Did you change your keybindings at some point of time? Do you have some session plugins active which manage keybindings? The key U toggles the user interface on and off. You could have some plugin active which has keybindings like "shift + u" etc., which could interfere.

Do you have some keybinding software or keyboard config running and changed a keybindings profile?

When did this problem arise, you seem to be a long time user?

If you press M and the window camera is active - and you didn't change this keybinding - you could see something else from the scene, not just a whole black screen, because it is exactly a camera. You can move and rotate it and would see the whole scene if you desire so.

Do we have the same understanding of the term "ui"?

Timeline with VAMOverlays produce a "black screen" on the monitor. I'm trying to fix and find out why this happens. Check in your scene if you both have timeline and vamoverlays.
