There have been a number of times when I pulled down a bit too sharply on my Oculus joysticks and my hands bump into the floor then BOOM! VAM shuts down. I know you can turn hand collisions completely off, but is there an intermediate step I can take with either floors or the hands to prevent this? Something that reduces the memory hit on the collision?

You could use maybe my extratriggers plugins to toggle off floor collision on hit detection or hide the vr hands (idk if it's possible from triggers though), or add a collision trigger that follows you around and stays under you (linked to the vr head with the HeadLightLink plugin for easy offset) and is filtered to look for collisions with the vr hands and trigger that action. Maybe toggling off the floor/hands collision and quickly back on with logickbrick delay after like a second would do the trick
