Question Middle Mouse Panning

I just got my virt-a-mate creator key and I'm in the process of getting to know the software. However I immediately run into a problem. Navigating a scene should be pretty easy using the right and middle mouse buttons and scroll wheel. However when holding the middle mouse button and moving the mouse does nothing. What could be the cause? I even tried reinstalling everything from scratch, but panning simply doesn't work when holding the middle mouse button. The mouse button works fine in other windows applications by the way.

Mine works fine from many versions of VaM I had and parallel VaMs with no configuration needed.
Is that anywhere or a specific scene only?

Anywhere, I'm using z and x now, but it's not optimal.

Maybe you checked some option that prevents it? Try reseting your user preferences.
