Question Lip collision help

I'm sorry in advance. I've been searching the forums but I can't seem to put the right keywords together, I'm sure this has been asked before but I'm bad at search.

I'm having trouble sometimes with the character's lips not being close together when the colliders kick in. I can't seem to find a setting that will adjust this. It's like they're touching in invisible barrier. Are there any plugins that may fix this, or maybe a setting I've missed?
