Question Is there a way to keep a copy of the Virt-A-Mate game you can setup from a dvd and/or usb drive?

Would like to future proof losing this gem in case (for whatever reason) access to this community is gone. Who knows what the censorship gods might decide to do. You can easily backup vars but the game itself seems to need info from meshedvr to setup. TIA

Exactly as HolySchmidt says, a folder copy will do the trick.
I suggest you keep a frequent backup of your playing VAM folder and a copy of a fresh VAM - no added packages or modifications. This last one is very useful because it's easy to make a mess on your VAM folder, and if you start creating content a fresh VAM is best to package it.

Thanks you all for the info...
So if I put a "fresh" folder/copy of vam on a thumb drive for safe keeping, I can install it on a new computer (at some future time) without the internet?
