Question How to rotate a body part

When I try to move a body part while holding click a rotation icon appears, it's a very novice question I know, but I've never known how to rotate it.
PS: I know how to rotate, by clicking and rotating the gizmo, but that's not what I mean.

Newbie myself, but in edit mode you manipulate the control point for that joint. In play mode it is rather constricted in desktop mode - but just grab and drag the joint around.

Hi fellow newbees! I use two session pugins for posing that I consider indispensible: MacGruber PowerHandles and Ruvik PosingHelper. With that, posing becomes much easier. However, I play desktop, no clue how to do it with VR.
