Creating something like VAM2 must be pretty difficult - otherwise, there would be a ton of similar games out there. I did some research, and enthusiastic LLMs keep telling me I could roll my own VAM with a decent amount Unity experience IF I don’t aim for a full-featured platform like Meshed is doing.
So I’m curious:
* Where does the biggest challenge actually lie when getting a DAZ3D character into an environment?
* Does a Genesis 8 model need heavy modification to look realistic and function properly in Unity and in VR?
* Is it mostly about reducing poly counts, or are there deeper issues to solve?
I am talking just one character in a room, like the default scene in VAM1
I’m genuinely curious and figured there are enough experts here to give a definitive answer.
