I am trying to import some shoes/heels that are posed in DAZ, and when they import the toe is messed up because VAM is expecting Gen2 t-pose flat feet.
I know about the stopper rewrapper trick for heels, but what about the toe straps etc. that get messed up?

Paging @MrGiggly , I think you have dabbled in this stuff as well?

Hi bill_prime
Depends on the style as to what method I use.
Here's some snapshots from vam discord which I can't see you on?

(should add that for the above the top part 'standard import' is reposed to flat-foot in daz)

For all of the 'rigid' items, ie heels that will use stoppers re-wrapper, I pose them in Daz similar to the last screenshot above, ie by how much the ankle will be rotated on G2 for the heels to be perpendicular with the floor.

Thanks,

I guess I am trying to do the first option:

My problem is in DAZ the toes are sticking through the top part/straps/sole in the default flat foot t-pose. I need to figure out how to re-pose in DAZ so the import into VAM is better I guess?

It could be that the shoes haven't been set up to conform to G2 in daz correctly when they were made. Can you show a screenie of what it looks like in flat foot pose?

Here is what I mean, when imported into vam the wrapping is all messed up because of this.
The heel/base seem okay?

So that daz clothing looks to have been been setup so that toe poses have no effect and instead you pose the daz models toes to the shoes. It's fairly common especially for high platforms that shouldn't flex at all.
You do already have the upper and lower split I assume and are bringing them in as two clothing items?

If those don't have a back or it's low, you could bring them in as one piece same as the 3rd screenshot I posted.

Other option is export the upper out of daz as an .obj (in its final posed position, not flat foot pose), then re-import it back in and change it back to conforming clothing. It's actually more simple than it sounds to do that.
Its essentially a slight variation of steps II and III in this guide - you won't need to do 9,10,11 in step III

It was one item, but I split the top and bottom in DAZ into two separate items.
Definitely setup like you said where the toes don't change the shoes at all.

Thanks for the info, I'll look into that guide. I assume the guide is also for Gen2?
