Within VAM, which plugin can I use to change and apply any color, texture, or alpha to “prefab” files imported via CUA without having to modify the file in Unity? Example: using CUA, I open a “prefab” file that contains three objects, but I want to hide one of those three objects. To do this, I want to apply an alpha texture to hide that object.

Is there a plugin for this?
Please help.

That's not how materials work.
But you can do somewhat what you want if you download the DLUtils plugin.

Luckily there is a great plugin for hiding parts of a CUA:

Yeah, DLUtils is probably 10 times more powerful :p
I don't know the dlutils plugin. And your entry was a little bit vague ("But you can do somewhat what you want"), so i thought it was a good idea to mention a plugin which does exactly what was asked for (hiding parts of a CUA). My fault, sorry. You can delete my post(s).

And your entry was a little bit vague

It was more about the original intent talking about "alphaing and textures". Which is not possible with any plugin, but in the case of DLUtils, you can disable elements, change color etc... which is an alternative to alpha... and is somewhat ( ;) ) the request made ^^

This allows you to add new textures and normal maps to an existing cua. Afaik it doesn't allow removing/hiding parts, I doubt it would play nicely with other plugins that disable elements.

It also (as I was trying to imply) will only work with material it "knows". Since most assets are done with random materials, It's probably not a guarantee it'll work.
