Right now, if you do a search, then want to refine the search terms, so you hit the search button again, all the fields are cleared.
If you enter search parameters, then hit the "advanced search" button, all the fields get cleared.
So you enter them again, then decide to change from "search everything" to ,say, "search resources"... and all the fields get cleared again.
It's annoying.
I don't know enough to know for sure, but i suspect that making these fields persist as long as the site is open might be a very easy fix to make.
