Hi everyone,

I just noticed that one of my previously published items on the Hub has been suddenly set to “Unpublished” without any warning or notification. The content had been live for quite a while, received downloads, and positive feedback – so this really caught me off guard.

Frankly, I find it quite frustrating and unacceptable that something can be removed without even informing the creator.
Even worse, if the reason is a change in rules or guidelines, I strongly believe you can’t just apply new rules retroactively and silently remove existing content without giving creators a chance to respond, edit, or at least understand what’s going on.

Is there any way to find out why exactly the content was unpublished?
And more importantly – how can creators protect their work from being removed without notice in the future?

I’d really appreciate a response and some transparency on this.
Thanks in advance.

You should open a ticket in Support, only the mods can help you and it's probably a private matter to stay between you and them.

If something is breaking the TOS, has license issues, fails to comply to basic rules, it will be immediately unpublished without warning.
Then generally, you are contacted directly to sort the problem.

You are on a public plateform, the team can apply any rules and choose to retroactively remove content breaking the rules. Just like any plateform does pretty much anywhere on the market.

To give you an example: if you were publishing a game on Steam, which goes through mod, is validated and can be bought by players... if you push an update that breaks the TOS, and this gets noticed later by the Steam moderation team. Your game will be taken down without notice. At best you'll get a very opaque information.

Now, which content are you talking about? And when did this happen?
Contact the team with this information and open a support ticket.

Hi Frief!

We did receive your ticket and are looking into it. Before I comment on why they were unpublished or take action to republish them. I need to check in with the other Admins.

Either way, I do want to apologize that you were not properly notified when this action was taken. That is not our policy and it is a mistake on our part.

Please be patient while I look into this and get it sorted out. Our staff is in a wide range of time zones and some are still asleep.

Since you have a ticket currently open with us we can continue this conversation there.
