Paging anyone who knows the ClothSimProxy plugin.
What is the best way to set it up with clothes that overlap with themself?

For example, Double Skirt

Do I created a proxy item with just the bottom Skirt? And then what do I set for sim settings for both items?
Anyone done this for double skirts?

Thanks,

Yep pretty much this, the proxy mesh just needs to be a single layer with good mesh topology and density so it sims well with minimal clip.

In a double skirt situation itll want to be the inner skirt, you only need to sim the proxy mesh ;)

Thanks for feedback!
Is it okay to decimate the proxy mesh a lot or does it have to match pretty accurately?

I've found its fine to have it nice and low I did a top with 15k on the actual item and 3k on the sim proxy and it worked just fine, It's mostly a case of finding the lowest density you can whilst avoiding clip issues. Really nice as the sim overhead for even high poly stuff is based on the proxy.
