I want the mouse scroll to only adjust the position of an atom when i hold it with the mouse and not move the camera

Can i disable the zoom in/out function for the mouse scroll?

Don't quote me on that, but I believe that mouse scroll zoom was hardcoded into VAM. It cannot be removed or replaced with a new function.
Once I tried to set my mouse wheel to increase/decrease the field of view.
The result was that simply both things (zoom and fov) changed at the same time.
Ended up using a key combination to change fov instead of the mouse wheel because of that.
