• Hi Guest!

We have posted a new VaM2 dev log on Patreon, starting a monthly cadence of written progress updates between Beta releases. Highlights include the new Gizmos System, Selection Carousel, and Modes System with Context-Specific Editing. Beta1.2 is 15 of 21 items complete.

Any chance to see this stuff in Vam?

It runs on Unreal, but they seem to say that it could runnon other engines...

If there's one thing VAM could use, it's some realistic lip synch / voice technology. Hopefully this will be implemented in 2.X.

Yeah, this is something I really feel is missing with the current VAM version, but hopefully can be a part of the new version.
Of course you can create the facial expressions manually for each state, like happy, angry etc. but it would be a huge amount of work.
If VAM 2 will get some kind of character creation wizard with auto-generated and possibly customized expressions like demonstrated in this video:
(from the same creators as in the first post of this thread),
it might add some amazing realism by waking the characters alive.
This would certainly attract new users more easily to VAM too.
The expressions created here look amazing, but I'm not sure if this technology is posssible to use for VAM.
I think the creators should definately look into it, if not already doing so :)
