A video to scene converter?

Hello everyone! I wanted to ask if there is a Plugin, or something similar, that allows you to convert any video of any format as an animation within a scene. So, convert the movements that you see in the video directly to an atom within the scene. If you could then save the animation with Timeline that would be perfect, but that I think can be done through other methods as well. Thanks!

I'm new to VAM so i'm trying to learn as much as possible about the possibilities that can offer

I've never tried it before but this post I saw recently sounds like a possible starting point.

However, it would require knowledge of the process of taking a BVH animation from Daz 3D and bringing it into VaM.

This does not exist as a VaM specific plugin or tool as far as I'm aware. However, it might be achievable to some degree with third party tools for generating animation data from video, google "video to BVH" or "video to animation data" etc. The generated animation data could then be converted for playback in VaM. For example, there are BVH player plugins for VaM that assume the animated joints are named correctly for the VaM (DAZ genesis 2) figure in the input animation.

Greetings fellas. I came across Dollor Mocap the other day and was wondering if you guys had any input on it?
Does it work?
Is it worth the $100

Nvrmd. Found this post.

Thank you very much, i will try to get much more info about this plugin. It would be really cool to have a feature like that, mainly for someone like me that doesn't have any VR or joysticks

I was looking at it today and i even tried it. But i think you need a good webcam and a lot of space behind it. To be honest, it doesn't work good for me. It only cap good hands and face expressions but the rest is terrible (for me, at least)

That sounds really cool. The only problem is that most of the programs around are just too limited with free trials. It would be cool to find a good offline software to convert videos to BVH files. but idk if something like that exists around. I looked for different AI programs but they all need to be used online and of course the free trials have a lot of limitations, mainly about time of use and so on. As far as i know there's a plugin to import BVH files into vam, so the only problem is finding a good software to create those files starting from videos

Isn't this no longer for sale? I thought I saw that it was not for sale any longer some months ago.🤔
Just realized I could have checked on my own instead of asking lolz.

I found this plugin that already allows to import videos into Vam, so if any scripter would like to improve this and make possible to convert the videos into animation atoms (and so make our dream become reality), it would be really cool xd

Hi, developers of Dollars MoCap here. Thank you for trying our product. And we are sorry for the bad experience you've had.

You should be able to get the results we showed in our videos easily. (And not much better than that we have to admit ).

One suggestion is that you can try it in a blank scene, because sometimes there are conflicts within plugins. You can also record the mocap program and VAM and send it to us at hi@sunnyview.tech. This will help us identify the problem more quickly. Thank you.
