If I had to do it I would have gone Facegen > Daz on G2 > Blender > Daz. Maybe the guides section can help you or ask in Discord, some people there know this stuff.

Kind of a noob question but what is the process for creating a custom background in VaM? For example, let's say I wanted a brick wall. I'm assuming it's not as easy as just importing a .jpg or .png image. Is it something I can create in Photoshop and if so what are the specs I need to follow and...

Vam only uses Daz Genesis 2 models. You would need to overlay it over a base geometry gen2 .obj in blender and sculpt the morph from that.

MAKE SURE YOU TURN SUBDIVISION TO ZERO in DAZ Studio before exporting an OBJ for Blender, or you will always get geometry mismatch. That's the #1 thing I always check. Set "Resolution" to "base" as well, or it'll smooth your model -- make the teeth smaller, bad stuff like that.
