U can make it toggle option, so people can decide. The noise is strong in vr.

There is nothing else out there. Vr or not VAM is the best possible without competition and its light years ahead. I want a lot of things to improve in VAM and i do have complains, but in the end it is the only option. Only hope is VAM 2 someday.

best solution ive been using for long time, is to just unpack all vars and use what i need. Most vars have way to much uneeded stuff in them anyway.

AMD cos u can upgrade the cpu later. Intel is last cpu for its mainboards. Performance is comparable.

Yes. I am using acid bubbles keybinding plugin to map the g2 controller buttons. Plugins - Keybindings | Virt-A-Mate Hub (virtamate.com). Its not perfect but it gets the job done.

Yes i also can only move with grab move, which is ok enough. But A and B button only work in menus for me. I cannot select person nodes or objects in edit mode in the scene. Can u select them?

I did not notice anyone here posting about this but openxr works now for vam finally. I can now use my reverb g2 with wmr without running steamvr at all. Just copy openvrapi.dll over than one of vam. And like all my other vr games, this gave me a very noticeable performance boost (4090...

You have to decide for yourself. I did switch from a 5600x to a 5800x3d and vam runs smoother. I have to say that all my Vr games do run way better now. So yes i think the 3d cash is black magic or sth. Still if u dont need it u could w8 for the 7800x3d.

It depends on the scene. The gpu can make a difference by having allot of point lights on. Allot of hair sim on and so on but these are just badly made scenes, which can be fixed without a new gpu! But u cannot fix having low fps cos of more than one person. The 4080 is bad cos it does not make...

get anything but not the 4080. Its the worst. I have a 4090 now and did use a 3080 with reverb g2. No big difference in VAM cos of cpu bottleneck anyway. So either get a used 30xx or w8 for amds 7900 or get a 4090 if u are insane like the rest here.
