Hi Guest!
Please be aware that we have released another critical security patch for VaM. We strongly recommend updating to version 1.22.0.12 using the VaM_Updater found in your installation folder.
Details about the security patch can be found here.
I was a little surprised, i thought I would at least see in the 120's, but then again, single core speeds are not TR's strong-suite, so maybe that's par for the course. Hoping 2.x can spread the love out to a few more cores, but we'll see. Anyway - great tool, good job!
As someone who has who has messed with the unity particle system for probably hundreds of hours - I can also confirm for anyone who thinks there is better fluid "simulation" possible out of the unity particle system that there is not! Dynamic fluid simulation is not practical (I won't say its...
This plugin will generate randomized lightning (strobe) effect when attached to a light in a scene. Control the various lightning parameters for each "lightning light" where the plugin is attached. Load the demo scene file from the VAR and select the various lights in the scene to see how the...
You can export the default person atom as an OBJ from VaM and do whatever you want with it. You can import a rigged (weight painted) mesh from blender to unity, but where you will run into issues is trying to apply softbody physics in Unity. If its just for a pre-built scene/screencap/movie type...
I'm not sure about hair, but cloth simulation in Unity (and by extension VaM) requires a predefined array of colliders (either sphere pairs that define the bounds of a "capsule", or box colliders). That being said, I also know that VaM uses a proprietary system of "autocolliders" that are...
I believe you would have to animate the movement of the person root as a separate animation and then trigger that animation as needed. The only other way to move an object that I'm aware of would be programmatically through script/plugin
People actually "play" VaM??? ? (I'm being facetious)
I've never actually downloaded or played a scene that someone else made...I know it sounds crazy. I have, however downloaded lots of looks, clothes, props etc. I dont have VR (yet...index coming by June), so my experience is flatscreen and...
If you're looking toward VaM 2.0, multithreading will likely be more important, so higher core counts may benefit from the redesign. As far as GPU, VaM will use whatever you can throw at it in terms of resources. Bus bandwidth is probably the more important factor on GPU vs. amount of memory. I...
there's also a difference between making a thing (asset) that doesn't require any other things to work and making a scene or look that is dependent on other people's things to look the way its intended. It would probably help to bundle my things in a scene so people can just download that and...
Yeah, I dont think 1000s of views /downloads is a lot...just an example. I don't put out a lot of content, but try to keep quality as high as possible. I know exactly why I have a very small number of patrons and right now and I'm ok with that. Very small niche in a huge playground, I dont make...
As someone who started their patreon last October, I can say I totally agree, even though its not in my best interest to do so. Patreon is not the ideal model for this kind of software, where you may just want to buy 1 "thing" but you have to subscribe to somebody's patreon at some tier level...
Congratulations on your new family member! I firmly believe that if it weren't for your tutorials I probably wouldn't have given VaM a second look. The first time I opened it on my PC, I was absolutely confounded. Like, what is this sorcery that I've just stumbled upon, and how in the hell do I...
Not sure what's going on - Click here for a quick video so you can see how it works on my end...if you can post a video up to show me what's happening on your end...that might be helpful as well. Make sure you are selecting the asset (dildo) you added to the scene from the "select asset"...
You need to load the plugin included in the VAR onto the machine to control the assets/machine. From the machine asset menu, click the plugins tab and then find the machine controller plugin from the list on the left. Load it, and then open the custom UI and you should be all set
I honestly haven't tested It since release and there have been some updates since then. I will take a look at just using a plugin to turn it on/off that way. It would be much simpler. Thank you for reaching out and letting me know! Much appreciated
