Which hardware to upgrade?

I am thinking about upgrading my VAM setup and wondering what to do.

My setup:

Intel i7-7700 @ 3.60 GHz
GeForce GTX 1660
32 GB RAM
SSD
HMD is a Samsung Odyssey+

Which upgrade would give the biggest performance boost? A new video card? A faster CPU? A fancier HMD? Something else?

If you're looking toward VaM 2.0, multithreading will likely be more important, so higher core counts may benefit from the redesign. As far as GPU, VaM will use whatever you can throw at it in terms of resources. Bus bandwidth is probably the more important factor on GPU vs. amount of memory. I do more content creation stuff, so I went with a AMD TR 3970x CPU with 64 threads, which currently VaM doesn't utilize at all, and I'm aiming for a 3080, but thats not likely to happen this year. I can't speak to VR because I dont have one yet, but index is my goal, hopefully in June.
