Your EndAllBeAll guide to Wrapping!

Guides Your EndAllBeAll guide to Wrapping! 1

Good guide. Re-created the entire thing step by step to understand how it works. Dealing with the eyes was the trickiest part - especially because I had very stylized model.
Noticed a pitfall with the wrap software - it does not like exotic characters like '#' in a path. Can fail to save and load things then.

phenomenal guide. While it still requires a lot of work, it absolutely enabled me to bring a blender model into vam, though I have some experience with moving from vam-daz-blender and then back, which definitely helps when fixing rigging in daz.

Super helpful! My only request: do you have any idea of how to wrap a male model with this guide?

It is possible too, Just replace Female G2 with Male G2 and should work fine, although never tested tbh.

This is great! But, what if our model has bigger arms (forearms, biceps)?

Should work the same, if not it might be colliders inside of VAM. If you can show me images and describe the issue I might be able to help further!

Amazing guide. Thank you so much for taking the time to put it together.

The only issue I faced was when correcting the eyes. I was accidently clicking areas of the eyelashes/tear/lacerma. So for anyone else having issues, make sure you are clicking on the eye only! This is best done directly from the front or zoomed in from side. It can be a massive help to alter the near clip values in preferences so you can really zoom in as close as possible.

Thanks! It took a while to put it together but worth it! The eyes and rarely the mouth are the biggest issues, I still struggle with them lol

Easy to use and really useful for importing non-daz models to VaM

Hello, very good guide!

But I couldn't modify the eyes. Could you explain in more detail what to do in that part? I use the clone tool, but it changes to default or the whole body is deformed, I don't know how to destroy the eye as you indicate.

Thanks.

Hello, glad you like the guide and sorry for the late reply!

The clone tool returns the eye to it's original shape so it isn't all fucked up, I find it to be the best way to fix the eyes, though there might be a better way that I'm not aware of.

You need to be careful while using the clone tool so you don't change anything except the eye. And don't forget to enable Geodesic distance! It's important!

Sorry. I wonder if this guide is going to turn G8 to G2? Is that the same effect as this guide? Just use different tools. https://hub.virtamate.com/resources/import-genesis-8-character-to-vam-with-pictures.6260/

If you have a G8 already in Daz try that guide! If it doesn't work then try mine!

Also, just to help with this. If you use the hide geometry, and hide everything like the eyes, lashes, mouth, tongue, anus ect ect (everything thats actually inside the mesh) then wrap, it'll come out a lot better in those area's as it's not trying to wrap to them.

You generally don't need these wrapped because they don't really change other then scale which there are other morphs for. With this, we are wanting the figure of the model and nothing else.

I've always hid the disconnected geometry only in the G2F model, I usually never touch the G8F/blender model, even though they still have their innards (mouth, eyesocket, vagina etc...) I've never faced an issue where it WRAPs around any of them, it always WRAPs around the outside, especially if you put some DOTS on those THOTS!
