The way she looks at you, calm yet commanding, tells you she’s used to being the center of gravity.​

You notice her. She notices you noticing her.​

“You’re cute when you hesitate,” she says, motioning to the seat across from her.​

Her voice is low, her accent unmistakably Italian—rich, warm, and dangerously inviting.​

As she stands to leave, she leans in close and murmurs, “Come home with me... maybe I’ll let you play the lead tonight.”​
