Sensor (a plugin)
Sensor enables angle/distance-based triggers between atoms and/or the player.

Why?
I could never get the automatic Depth of Field settings to work perfectly with any existing setup, including FocusOnMe, PostMagic (using AutoFocusPoint), or the PostProcessing plugin. In order to effectively update all the lens settings in realtime, I needed to know the distance to the object, and execute a variable trigger when that value changed. Thresholds take this a step further to execute triggers at a particular boundary crossing (like turning a group of atoms on/off).

Now we can have amazing cinematic control with less effort, plus all the other random effects this now unlocks (like variable rubber leash settings for wild gravity-like effects!).

Instructions
Add Sensor plugin to any object you want to calculate distance/angle from.
Open plugin UI (instructions are within).
Profit.

Usage Ideas
- Fine-tuned focus control for PostMagic or PostProcessing plugins.
- Gravity systems using RubberLeash.
- Turning off regions of the scene to save FPS if too far away from the player, or at an unviewable angle (e.g. behind). I include a trigger setting "Enable All Children" allowing you to use a sensor on a SubScene or parent atom to turn on/off all its children.
- Having people atoms "react" to things brought into their view or proximity.
- Toggle context-sensitive help when looking at an object.

Credits/Thank You
I have to pay serious credit to all the previous plugin authors that provide for our community, but particularly to AcidBubbles and MacGruber. I dissected parts of your plugins to figure out how to do things, or in the case of the Trigger system, blatantly borrowed from MacGruber, who borrowed from AcidBubbles. You guys are my heroes!

I would also like to credit myself for extreme patience while working with GPT through this challenge. *bows*

Was looking for a plugin to calculate distance between a Timeline-animated invisible light and person to be used as range-value for the light.

Helps me to keep the person lit with the same intensity no mater how the light or person moves. With a spot light that also acts as camera-dummy it then always makes the light cone end exactly at the person.

Finally! I Can't tell you how many times I've requested a Plugin like this, and just getting responses like "this is already included in other plugins, just go look at their script and you can make your own."
Thank you very much for making this for us!!! This has SOOOO many uses, it's crazy to believe it's taken so long for a plugin like this to show up on the hub; considering how just ridiculously useful it can be!
Again, thank you thank you thank you!

Haha glad to help the scene out!! As a long time creator/tinkerer, I’m just Now starting to fill the gaps I’ve noticed in our ecosystem - basically the hard/tedious bits in positioning, triggering, etc. I have another pretty mind-melting one called “Align” (should be enough of a teaser) coming in the next couple days. Still bug checking, but it’s in final stages for sure :)

Great job! Had the same problem with Depth of Field. Thanks!

Yeah, having this able to control all 3 settings is a game-changer... next up I'm trying to figure out an ideal way to simplify the process of moving focus around the scene!

It's an amazing plugin, although I haven't figured out how to use it yet!

For VAM users, not the most exciting plugin - but for VAM creators, like myself, this plugin is going to become one of my most used plugins in my future scenes.

One of my biggest struggles is keeping a decent level of FPS and performance, this will allow me to do JUST that! Thank you very much for developing this!

Absolutely! I was testing the "regions on/off" concept the other day in a taxing scene, and the fps savings were remarkable. Namely in killing lights/people atoms that were out of view :)

I'm always looking for new ways to increase immersion, while decreasing effort (as a scene creator). I have a few other ideas as well, so stay tuned! :)
