DuoTouchArcade — Quick Guide
1. Getting started
Create an Empty Atom in VaM and add DuoTouchArcade under Plugins. Once the cabinet appears, open Custom UI.
2. Choosing music
Go to Play → Open audio album (.assetbundle)... and select an assetbundle containing music. Bundles inside VAR packages are also supported.
Use the left and right pads to browse songs, then press the centre button to select one. A chart is generated automatically when needed. Once ready, choose a difficulty and press the centre button to start.
3. Default controls
| Action | VR | Keyboard |
|---|---|---|
| Left input / Previous song | Left pad | C |
| Right input / Next song | Right pad | V |
| Confirm / Start / Pause | Centre button | Enter |
4. Main tabs
| Tab | Features |
|---|---|
| Play | Select albums and songs, start playing |
| Chart | Generate, record and edit charts |
| Audio | Adjust music, pad sounds and ending video volume |
| Settings | Configure input, display, video effects, game rules and pad response |
Open Chart → Tap recording → Record from cursor, then tap the pads or press C/V in time with the music.
Choose Keep take to keep your recording or Discard take to cancel it. Use Note editor for adjustments and Save chart as new JSON to save a separate chart file.
6. Adjusting pad feedback
Select Settings → Pads → Punchy silicone preset for a stronger elastic response.
- Impact snap: Compression strength on impact.
- Impact ripple: Small rebound spreading around the contact.
- Audio → Pad hit sound volume: Hit sound volume. Set to 0 to mute.
7. Game endings
By default, 10 accumulated misses trigger Game Over. Clearing a song plays an ending based on your score and whether you achieved a full combo.
Clear and Game Over videos play their own audio. Screen hit effects and pad hit sounds are disabled during these endings.
If keyboard input stops working, click the VaM window and close any file browser or text input field. After updating the plugin, press Reload.
