What It Is
An MMD-ready, simple stage based in a small dance studio with mirror backing. It's meant to be used with your MMD player plugin of choice. I've had this one on ice for a while and have just now cleaned it up to share, since I've been asked a few times what stage I was using in various screenshots and videos. I was inspired by a lot of K-Pop "dance practice" videos where it's a simple handheld camera or phone recording a no-frills performance.











This one is meant for a little bit more candid dancing. I used CuddleMocap's studio—with permission—from his Stretching Routine scene, and built it out from there, removing the back wall to better support custom MMD cameras. The UI for toggling a few little things in the scene appears when the main UI is open (U-key), located to the left.



This scene is intended to be used in conjunction with your favorite MMD player plugin and motions, and will react to audio on the lower frequencies, adjusting lights and visual effects in real-time. I've added MacGruber's Audio Reverb plugin to the AptSpeaker atom to make it sound slightly more like you're in a gym environment. This is optional, since I wasn't sure how people would feel about it by default.

Recommendations
These are a couple of things that I typically like to use to enjoy MMD-style scenes.

Tips

• An MMD player plugin is not included with the scene—see the recommendations above for a free option
• Add the MMD player plugin to the Dancer atom
• The scene has been set up for depth of field effects. This can be toggled via the UI button or via Scene Plugins in edit mode
• Mirrors are very frame-hungry, especially with more complex hairstyles. Try toggling off Mirrored Surfaces Enable in your user preferences temporarily to save on performance
• To get the reverb effect, set your MMD player's audio output to the AptSpeaker atom
• Custom light rig—good for photos too, not just dances
