Please (!) keep at it - and more documentation would be greatly appreciated!
(I've considered buying a kinnect as a DIY fullbody-tracking solution, but I have to admit I got confused by multiple reviews complainging over different kinnect versions being better than others and some may be out of production ... ?)

P.S.: This is just an IMPRESSION (!) Could it be the scene is running a little fast? (Or maybe you're just naturally blessed with admirable active metabolism ... ;))

This only works with the Kinect V2 (For Xbox One) which is the later hardware. It costs a little more and uses a very picky USB3 interface, however technically the sensor itself is a lot better with a bigger FoV and better colour cam/mic for "Normal" use. The V1 Kinect is cheaper and more common but not compatible with Kinect To VaM at this time. The biggest issue people will have is the USB3 interface. I had 2 PCs and one works, the other didn't while both being USB3. The next issue is it needs an interface to connect to the PC unless you mod it. Those adapter kits are not expensive and quite common but it bumps the costs up a bit sadly. For people handy with a soldering iron you can mod the V2 and use a normal USB3 cable instead of buying the adapter kit, but that requires some hardware skill.
