FocusOnMe!

Plugins FocusOnMe!

Changes:
  • You are no longer allowed to add this to an atom or the scene plugins. Use it as a session plugin.
  • An auxiliary scene plugin is automatically added to any scene you load. This stores any changes made in the session plugin to the scene.json and reloads it afterwards. The user only has to have FocusOnMe! installed as a session plugin to make this work.
Additions:
  • lightshow feature: Press the "Edit lightshow" button. Here you can
    • Seamlessly blend between two selected presets
    • Configure a lightshow that will randomly blend between all presets in a selected directory. There are many settings to customize.
  • You can trigger almost everything via the scene plugin (see above). You can find it on the atom "CoreControl"
  • LightMeUp now has a debug mode that visualizes the light directions. Useful for fine tuning the settings.
The description will be updated soon, including a demo vid.
  • Fix: Error on VAM startup and scene load
  • New: Preset system for LightMeUp is up and running
So do you guys actually plan to release this with your scenes? Because I have some ideas to make it more convenient and for some additional features, but I don't know if it's worth the effort. This plugin seems generally not sooo well received...
Here are my ideas:
  • Making everything configurable from your session instance and have it beeing saved with the scene nonetheless (and handling the case where the user doesn't have it as a session plugin) (very complicated).
  • Additional preset features like (randomized) blending between a set of presets to easily create light shows (a lot of work, but definitely doable)
Please tell me in the discussion or ratings what you think about it.
  • Shadows were off for my lights, because the Unity default settings didn't match VAM standards in some cases.
  • The back light now also casts shadows by default. You can disable them if the light gets obstructed by the environment, but then the model will look worse. Alternatively, I'd recommend lowering the hight or depth of the back light to put it closer to the model.
